Sri Varadraja Perumal Devasthanam, or Vishnu Dham as it is locally known, strongly adheres to the Sri Ramanuja Sampradaya of Vaishnava theology. The temple follows the ancient traditions of Sri Vaishnavism, rooted in the Vaishnava-Agams (Panchratra and Vaikhanasa).
The Vishistadvaita philosophy (specified nondualism) upheld by this sampradaya was placed on a high pedestal by Sri Ramanuja, whose masterpiece commentary on the Brahmasutra continues to illuminate the path of devotion. This temple closely honours those traditions to this day.
